WHERE TO TAKE YOUR WASTE
The new regional landfill is closed to the public. All residential and commercial loads must be delivered to one of the four locations below. Please review hours, pricing, and accepted materials before your trip.
Accepted Materials
Household waste, municipal solid waste, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, white goods (washers, dryers, water heaters, ranges), tires, batteries, computers, TVs, radios, all electronics, newspaper. Note: Burn Barrels not accepted as of January 1, 2011.
Accepted Materials
Accepted: Construction & Demolition
Cement · Sheetrock · Wood · Insulation · Metals. Debris from buildings, construction, demolition, roads, and bridges.
Accepted: Agricultural Waste
Old hay · Straw · Dead animals · Yard debris (grass, trees, tree limbs, and garden cleanup).
Asbestos inspections are required on all demolition projects. Large demolition projects require pre-approval from the Solid Waste Manager. All vehicles not registered in Madison County are charged out-of-county rates.
DirectionsCLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. The new landfill receives waste only from authorized municipal haulers and member county transfer stations. Residents must use one of the four locations listed above.
